Job Title: A.M. Cook ; P.M. Cook
Reports To: Rob Campanella
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· At least two years’ related experience required.
· Food Safety Certification Required
· Prior health care experience and Familiarity with various cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment required.
Required Skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Must follow food safety guidelines, including proper food storage, handling, and temperature control.
- Must maintain a clean kitchen environment at all times including sanitizing surfaces and set up the dish washer. Record all refrigerator and freezer temperatures, including the refrigerators and freezers on the units and in the dining rooms.
- Must follow posted daily meal menu
- Must check food temperatures and record in log at each meal
- Must record dish washer temperature after meals
- Walk in-freezer and refrigerators must be kept clean at all times.
- Steam tables must be cleaned and sanitized after each use
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, push and pull
· Perform additional tasks as requested by the Department Manager
