What are the responsibilities and job description for the Integration Specialist - Adult Day Program position at Hattie Larlham?
The Integration Specialist at Addventures provides an array of exciting and engaging course offerings to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position develops community business partnerships allowing Addventures' members to receive community-integrated experiences that exceed day services standards in the area. The Integration Specialist will also assist additional programs including Constant Companions and the Transition to Work Summer Program to achieve their individualized community integration goals by providing technical assistance and guidance as requested.
Opening :
Integration Specialist
Location : AddVentures Adult Day Program in Columbus
Schedule : Monday to Friday 8am - 4 : 30pm, must have flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years' experience supporting people with developmental disabilities preferred.
Valid Ohio Driver's license with less than 6 points and proof of insurance required to drive a Hattie Larlham vehicle.
First Aid certification - free training provided upon hire.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft products required, Publisher preferred.
Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
Duties :
Ensures programming is integrated into the community.
Coordinates and leads tours of Addventures for prospective members.
Establishes and maintains business relationships with community partners.
Create course offerings for Addventures, assists with courses for Constant Companions as requested, and create materials for the Transistion to Work Summer Program.
Trains employees on the curriculum for course offerings and community integration best practices.
Purchases and maintain inventory of supplies.
Assists with the Addventures enrollment process for new members including attending enrollment meetings and completing related documents.
Attends members' ISP and team meetings as needed.
Assists the Addventures Manager with opening and closing the Addventures building, covering classes, and driving routes as needed.
Updates the Assistant Director of Day Services on programming matters on a regular basis.
