Position Summary:
Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities. The primary purpose of the Cardiovascular Service Line Materials Coordinator position is to provide a variety of unit support functions that contribute to overall efficient operation of the Cardiovascular Service Line. The Cardiovascular Service Line Materials Coordinator is responsible for the management of the supply and equipment procurement and maintenance.
Reports to: Clinical Nurse Manager/Director
FLSA: Non-exempt
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
□ Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
Previous materials management experience preferred.
Required to be competent in and utilize a variety of software programs for charges/billing and ordering of supplies such as GHX, VIRA, Craneware, CQI, SMART, and others as needed.
