Position Summary:
The Clinical Educator Coordinator position is responsible for a variety of training and development duties. The Educator works with staff to enhance clinical competency, critical thinking and process/procedures improving nursing practice while promoting high quality, safe patient care.
Reports to: Director of Clinical Education
FLSA: Exempt
Minimum Qualifications:
X Associate's Degree required on hire
X Bachelor's Degree or enrolled in an MSN bridge program
3 years of clinical experience in multiple clinical areas including Med/Surg, Telemetry, Surgical Services and/or Critical Care.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Prior experience in teaching, or otherwise providing educational opportunities Preferred
Certifications required within 60 days of hire:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor
Instructor for BCLS within 60 days of hire
Licenses:
Valid Arizona or Compact states RN license.
