Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Supervisor to join our healthcare team. The Nursing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Duties
- Manage and supervise nursing staff, including assigning duties and evaluating performance
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy in daily tasks
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in caring for patients with developmental disabilities
- Implement utilization management strategies to optimize patient care
- Demonstrate proficiency in procedures such as IV infusion and gastric lavage
- Utilize ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation
- Handle infant care responsibilities as needed
- Possess experience working with children to address their unique healthcare needs
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Nursing Supervisor or similar role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Current RN license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Ability to work well under pressure and make sound decisions
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
