Patient Collector/Pay to Patient Collections

We are looking for a detail-oriented Pay to Patient Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient accounts, ensuring timely payments, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, medical billing procedures, and excellent negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

• Handle patient accounts and collections efficiently.
• Utilize financial software to track payments and manage accounts receivable.
• Communicate with patients regarding outstanding balances with professionalism and phone etiquette.
• Analyze accounts for accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with the billing team to ensure accurate billing and payment processing.
• Negotiate payment plans with patients in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain detailed account records and documentation.
• Assist in account analysis and reporting as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience in debits, credits, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Proficiency in financial software and medical billing systems.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts and account management.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate effectively with patients.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in account analysis.
• Prior experience in collections or related field is a plus.
