Our Medicare-certified home health branch in Oldsmar, FL, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented **Authorization Coordinator** to join our team. This role ensures the timely processing of authorizations for patient services, working closely with insurance companies, clinical staff, and office management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the authorization process for Medicare and other insurance providers.
- Ensure timely submission and follow-up on pending authorizations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to coordinate patient care needs.
- Monitor and verify insurance coverage for new and existing patients.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Communicate with patients regarding authorization status and coverage details as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum 1 year of experience in home health authorization or medical billing (required).
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and authorization processes (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, with experience in Kinnser EMR a plus.

Haven Qualification Requirements:
1) At least 2 years of experience in Intake for a medicare agency preferred
4) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
5) Ability to multitask and take on additional roles as needed.
