Responsibilities:
Receives and processes intakes from the Agency’s referral sources:
1. Review intake information to ensure all required documentation is complete, including approved authorization, H&P (History and Physical), and clinical records.
2. Verify SNF orders are in place for SNF cases
3. Communicate with referral sources as needed to obtain missing information or clarify intake details.
4. Update Patient Pending Board with the most current information
5. Verify insurance benefits for new and on going patients (reverification s biweekly)
6. Manage and request ongoing authorizations as required to maintain patient services.
Works closely with office staff
1. Provide updates on recently referred and pending patients during morning meetings.
2. Collaborate with billing and accounting personnel to verify and establish authorizations for patients.
3. Coordinate with the scheduling team to ensure that scheduled patients have ongoing authorization.
4. Regularly update patient and authorization trackers to ensure accurate records.
Maintains business relationships with medical groups and referral sources.
Provides statistical data for agency’s operational function as needed.
Maintain satisfactory attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Hospice, Home Health, Public Health experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CA licensed and insured driver with reliable personal transportation
Pay Range:
- $21.00-$23.00
