The Haven in Allyn Assisted Living Facility is seeking a passionate and creative Activities Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating a program of activities designed to promote the residents' active involvement, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being. Activites Director will also need to be versitle and jump in to take residents to the bathroom when needed you will need to have basic caregiving skills and be able to jump in where needed.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive and stimulating program of activities for our residents that meets their individual needs and interests
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the program and make necessary changes to meet residents' changing needs and preferences
- Plan and execute a variety of events such as social outings, games, educational lectures, physical activities, and special events
- Encourage resident participation in activities and work closely with the care team to ensure all residents are offered the opportunity to participate
- Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain records of activities, resident participation, and feedback
- Coordinate with external entertainment and educational providers
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to resident care
- Foster a positive and collaborative relationship with residents, their families, and staff members
- Supervise, train, and support the activities staff
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an assisted living or long-term care setting (at least 2 years)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have CNA, HCA OR NAR
- A genuine interest in working with seniors and a passion for improving their quality of life
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative programs that meet diverse needs
- Must have the physical ability to assist with set-up and execution of activities
- Must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations

Pay: $20.00 - $23.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
