Job Summary:

We are urgently seeking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our clinic in Trumbull, CT. The ideal candidate will provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers, ensuring efficient patient care and smooth office operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and prepare patients for examination, taking vital signs and medical history
• Assist physicians and nurses with patient care procedures
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and administer injections as needed
• Manage patient records, update charts, and input data into the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Schedule appointments, process referrals, and coordinate follow-ups
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment
• Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Handle insurance verifications and billing assistance
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and clinic policies

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to multitask and work in a team-oriented environment
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required within 90 days of hire)
