What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-time Food Service Helper - Middle School position at Haverford Middle School?
To support the preparation, serving, and accounting of nutritious, eye-appealing foods for students, teachers, and other support personnel in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness. Responsible for food preparation of cold salads and sides, cashiering at breakfast and lunch, completion of daily production record for station, and meeting sanitation standards.
Responsibilities:
* Help prepare and serve hot and/or cold foods.
* Clean up preparation, serving area, and equipment used during the day's work.
* Fill and break down the serving line.
* Assist with daily clean-up of pots, pans, utensils, counters, serving area, etc.
* Have working knowledge of the safe operation of all equipment including ovens, steam tables, warmers, etc.
* Be able to lift milk cases into a cooler (approximately 30 pounds).
* Cashier at serving times (breakfast and lunch)
* Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager or the Supervisor of Food Service.
* Complete daily production record for station.
* Meet sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
* High School graduate or equivalent.
* No experience is necessary, but previous food service experience is preferred.
* Cashier experience is preferred.
* Ability and personality to be able to deal with students, teachers other support personnel, and the public.
* Physical capacity to perform all assigned duties.
Hours: 10 months, 6 hours per day not including a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch
Salary: $13.86 per hour
