Job Title: Administrative Secretary
Provide a full range of secretarial support to assigned administrative personnel. Record-keeping and reporting regarding all pupil services, including social work services, psychological services, home-school visitor services, and the gifted program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Secretarial services including correspondence, phone messages, reports, ordering supplies, equipment maintenance, filing, record keeping, copying files as needed, and opening and distributing mail for Pupil Services Department.
Requirements
- High School diploma or relevant training preferred.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle pressure and multiple responsibilities with numerous distractions.
- Self-starter with strong office and file management skills, completing tasks in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational skills as well as a firm background in MS Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with cloud-based applications (e.g., Google Drive).
- Interpersonal skills that will complement the communication needs of the Pupil Services Department with both staff and parents.
- Professional experience with data-driven decision making and implementation of evidence-based practices as related to gifted education, per Ch. 16 regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate with various stakeholders in the design and implementation of specialized student programming.
Work Schedule:
- 12 months, 7 1/2 hours per day (8:00 am to 4:00 pm with 30-minute unpaid lunch).
Salary:
- $22.90 per hour after a successful probationary period.
