What You Will Do
- Dive into the world of Accounts Payable by learning how to input invoices for our North American operations using JDE (don't worry, we'll guide you through it and even provide examples from specific suppliers!).
- Get hands-on experience by completing data uploads into JDE, gaining valuable insight into how crucial information is managed and processed within our systems.
- Explore the Evaluated Receipt Process and assist in cleaning up EDI errors, giving you a deep understanding of how we ensure accuracy and efficiency in our supply chain operations.
- Take on the exciting challenge of root cause analysis for vendor issues, including pricing and quantity discrepancies. You'll utilize various tools in JDE such as SPIF, customer, and supplier ledger, honing your problem- solving skills and becoming a detective of sorts in resolving discrepancies.
- Showcase your analytical skills by creating detailed reports for different lines of business. You'll analyze payment trends of our customers with a less-than-stellar payment history, providing valuable insights to the business on customer behavior and payment patterns. It's an opportunity to make a real impact with your analysis and recommendations.
- Based in Chicago: We require candidates to be local to Chicago, as this internship involves on-site training and collaboration with our team.
- Background in Finance or Business: We prefer candidates with a degree in finance or business, as this internship will provide valuable experience in supply chain management and logistics, which are closely related to these fields.
- Eagerness to Learn: We're seeking individuals with a genuine enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude toward acquiring new skills.
