Position Summary
As an Event Experience Technician, you are at the heart of every show. You’ll support the setup, operation, and breakdown of events, ensuring each experience runs smoothly and reflects the excellence that Hawaiʻi Stage is known for. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who loves working behind the scenes and thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Candidates must reside on the island of Oahu, Hawaii to apply. No relocation assistance will be available.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute setup and teardown of event equipment, including staging, lighting, audio/visual gear, and scenic elements
- Collaborate with production and client teams to ensure events are executed to spec and on schedule
- Operate AV systems, lighting consoles, and/or staging equipment as trained
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues during events
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of event spaces and equipment
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Represent Hawaii Stage with professionalism and aloha at every job site
Qualifications
- Previous experience in live events, production, AV tech, or related field preferred but not required — we’ll train the right person
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- A deep respect for Hawaiian culture, people, and values is essential

Compensation for this role is based on the qualifications listed in the job posting and may vary by location. Final pay is determined by several factors, including relevant experience, skills, travel requirements, and local market rates. Some positions may also be eligible for additional earnings such as overtime, bonuses, or performance-based incentives.
