What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Relationship Specialist I position at Hawaii Community FCU?
Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union is looking for multiple qualified candidates to fill our open Member Relationship Specialist (MRS) positions at the Kailua branch in Kona.
Duties:
- The MRS serves as a liaison between members and the Credit Union.
- The MRS provides account information by phone or in person, as well as information on the full range of Credit Union products and services.
- Opens accounts for members, researches and resolves issues, and professionally handles members’ needs.
- Ensures proper processing of IRA transactions, including the posting of IRA certificate withdrawals, mailing of all documents necessary to effect Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), and performing required corrections necessary for the member’s intended tax treatment.
- Provides informational services to members about their needs and cross sells the appropriate products, services and programs of the Credit Union.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate / GED equivalent with two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a financial institution preferred or related work experience.
- Customer account management and experience with fostering strong relationships is preferred.
- Proficient in computer systems, word processing and spreadsheet programs.
