What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Application Developer position at Hawaii Medical Service Association?
Assists in the development of work plan timelines. May manage workflows to meet sub-project timeframes.
- Participate in the identification of system requirements.
- Complies with architecture processes, principles, policies and standards.
- Develop technical specifications for applications. Makes recommendations for the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
- Complies with quality standards and procedures.
- Develops or modifies application components using disciplined software development processes.
- Utilizes middleware tools for designing and developing solutions when required.
- Documents new or modified components and testing activities / results.
- Provides ongoing maintenance of applications.
- Makes components production ready by moving them to libraries, completing forms, following procedures, completing version control documents, etc.
- Assists in providing Tier II (application) support.
- Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
- Associate's degree or technical institute degree / certificate or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge in end-user development tools.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Design components for small solutions.
Utilizes current data guidelines.
Analyze existing applications to identify and document opportunities for improvements.
