Job Summary

Pay Range: $53,000 - $99,000
Note: Individuals typically begin between the minimum to middle of the pay range
The Communications Program Coordinator is a key member of HMSA's Communications team and is responsible for managing and assisting the Communication Program Managers (CPM) with project management leadership and guidance to HMSA business areas for corporate programs and projects that support and advance the mission and business. Works collaboratively with internal partners or appointed CPM to prioritize work requests, establish project requirements, identify milestone criteria, and task dependencies, and create project schedules to effectively coordinate multiple, simultaneous projects. Collaborates with internal partners or appointed CPM to plan, direct, implement and monitor the performance of programs and projects that are of highly critical importance, work directly with and develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, and ensure alignment and consistency of messaging across audiences, departments, and channels.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant work experience; or combination of education and related work experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; Including customer service skills and verbal communication skills
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Outlook
Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Manage and assist Communication Program Managers (CPM) in the management of project timelines associated with mission-critical, cross-departmental projects, events, and initiatives. The size, scope, and content of the projects may vary, and being able to handle the demands of several complex projects simultaneously is critical.
- Coordinate the work of team members including writers, graphic artists, advertising and public relations professionals, and web developers/ designers. Assist in the critical flow of communication between all key players, including internal partners, communications resources, and management.
- Support the CPMs in the timely completion of assigned communications projects, tasks, and deliverables.
- Work with internal partners or appointed CPM to prioritize work requests, establish project requirements, milestone criteria, task dependencies, and create project schedules to effectively coordinate multiple, simultaneous projects.
- Update the day-to-day schedules of project deliverables, work directly with CPM's and cross-departmental team members, facilitate communication, and provide status updates to the business owner, and project team.
- Assist in the development of post campaign reports and presentations.
- Communications Program Leadership
- Organize projects between writing, graphic arts design, web resources and internal partners to ensure consistent quality of work.
- Assists CPMs in development and implementation of departmental processes, procedures, and tools to enable efficient high-quality, cross-media publishing of all communications deliverable including printed materials, presentations, videos, and web components.
- Ensure issues or work dependencies are addressed in a timely fashion by appropriate team members, escalating as necessary to avoid delays in schedules.
- Assists the management team and helps the department meet its goals, mission, and vision.
- Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
