STATUS: Non-exempt
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Performs all administrative and clerical functions in the Development Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
- Donor Relations - Serves as the first line of contact for the Hawaiian Humane Society's donor inquiries via phone, email, etc. Provides the highest level of customer service to current and potential donors, volunteers, internal staff and external
- Donor Communications - Responsible for generating all acknowledgement letters and receipts and assisting in the processing of other donor communications (including but not limited to solicitations, specific gift acknowledgements, fulfillment of requests for additional information, and miscellaneous service responses) as needed.
- Program Coordination - Coordinates the Hawaiian Humane Society's Memorial Plaques, Stepping Stones, Dog Runs, Benches, and Circle of Friends programs, following established policies and procedures related to donor stewardship
- Department Calendar/ Annual Timeline - Maintains the Development Department's master calendar and important Ensures members of the department are aware of upcoming events. Arranges appointments and travel plans as requested.
- Data Entry - Receives and enters donor data as directed

JOB CONDITIONS:
- Working Conditions: Indoors in air-conditioned
- Equipment Use: PC proficiency, MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), and standard office equipment
- Work Hours: Regular work hours are: Monday - Friday, 9:00 m. - 6:00 p.m

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Skills/Knowledge: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Docs; Raiser's Edge experience helpful.
- Requires high-level customer service and attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Must have excellent oral and written communication Valid driver's license with clean traffic abstract and access to a personal automobile. Must agree with and be committed to the Hawaiian Humane Society's goals, objectives and programs.
- Education/Training: Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience: Previous experience in development preferred
