HawaiiUSA FCU is seeking a Small Business Onboarding Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for back-office small business operational support, developing and implementing processes to strengthen the department’s delivery of services and financial position. They provide administrative and technical support to branch staff that open and manage business account relationships to ensure smooth onboarding for new business members.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years in frontline business-related capacity, small business banking experience, as well as experience supporting the frontline.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates and manages procedures for all business account opening processes.
Primary support contact for small business account opening related questions.
Primary contact for Select Employee Group (SEG) approval requests/approvals.
Creates SLAs for SEG approval processing times.
Tracks request errors and provides coaching as needed.
Subject matter expert in National Credit Union (NCUA) SEG requirements, required business documents, and business products and services.
Assists in mitigating risk, verifying audit compliance, and procedural quality control through a branch operations review. Ensures compliance with established CU policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations as required for business accounts.
Provides training tools to ensure required documents are gathered at account opening.
Creates and submits monthly SEG Board of Directors (BOD) memos as required.
Review and audit Certification of Beneficial ownership forms.
Monthly/quarterly Small Business operational meetings/training
Works with Talent &Development (T&D) on training materials and content.
Work with T&D to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely training.
Back up to Member Experience (MX) Support as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
3 – 5 years in frontline business-related capacity
Small business banking experience, preferred
SEG/Credit Union experience, preferred

Ability to work both independently and cohesively with others
Fosters a team environment
Handles all confidential matters professionally
Excellent written and oral communication skills
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting for prolonged periods at a desk working on a computer.
Reaching, bending, twisting, turning frequently.
Lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 30 pounds on occasion.

The expected pay range for the Small Business Onboarding Specialist is $57,680 - $68,000/ year.
