What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guitar Teacher position at Hawk Music Academy?
Job Summary:
At Hawk Music Academy, we are seeking music instructors in the following areas: Piano, Guitar, Violin and Percussion.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for teaching and sharing their love of music. We would like all of our teachers and staff to feel like they are part of our family!
HMA is located in the beautiful Vickery Village shopping plaza in Cumming. HMA is the host of the Cumming Federation Festival and is also affiliated with the Symphony Orchestra of North Georgia (SONG).
Hours can be part-time to full-time, depending on student enrollment and room availability. Weekend availability in addition to weekday availability is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Teach private music lessons.
- Teach group classes and summer camps as needed.
- Keep up with academy documents.
- Motivate students to participate in our events.
- Attend meetings, recitals, festivals and other events as posted.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in music or equivalent experience preferred. College students working toward a music degree are welcome to apply as well.
-Proficiency with basic computer skills, such as emailing and ability to enter data onto spreadsheets.
Additional considerations: These are not required but are considered pluses for us!
-Ability and/or willingness to teach beginner piano in addition to their primary instruments.
-Suzuki Certification

Pay: $4,500.00 - $60,000.00 per year
