Hawkeye Claims Corp. is an AM Best RATED independent insurance claims adjusting firm. We are now accepting applications for a personable, articulate and highly skilled Professional Administrative Assistant for our established (30 years) claims adjusting business located in Windsor Heights, Iowa.
The position is part time (20-30 hours per week) with potential for full-time employment with benefits. Starting salary is $17.00 per hour. Flexible hours, free parking and a kitchen/break room. Family oriented, casual dress and atmosphere.
Required skills and duties include:
- Answering/directing incoming phone calls
- Incoming/outgoing mail
- Typing/dictation
- Proofreading
- New claim intake & file set up and assignment
- Office filing & supply
- Invoicing
- Payroll
- Marketing (Web design, advertising)
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, Sage or equivalent accounting software)
- Basic accounting/bookkeeping
- Ability to learn on the job
