As an Accounting Specialist you will:
- Manage accounts receivable (AR) payments, process credit/debit memos, and handle the reclassification of write-offs
- Support payroll and accounts payable functions and serve as a back-up when necessary
- Prepare month-end accounting workpapers and reconcile to the general ledger
- Update and post journal entries
- Update and maintain fixed asset records
- Reconcile bank accounts to ensure accuracy
- Track and balance flex spending account
- Manage the renewal and maintenance of firm licenses across states
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing AR or billing inquiries from employees and clients
- Assist CFO with accounts receivable collection processes
- Performing additional tasks as needed to support the firm's operations
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- Two to four years of GAAP accounting experience
- Proficiency with computer, spreadsheet software programs and calculator
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
