Front Desk Clerk Job Duties:
- Ensures guests feel welcome and provides excellent guest service.
- Checks guests in and out.
- Makes reservations.
- Uses persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms.
- Conducts room tours for prospective guests.
- Coordinates with Housekeeping to schedule room cleaning.
- Coordinates maintenance work with Maintenance staff.
- Secures payments from guests.
- Balances cash at the end of the shift and generates accounting reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous hotel front desk experience is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Presents a professional image and able to communicate well with both guests and employees.
- Able to operate front office equipment and computers, with Word and Excel experience preferable.
- Able to accurately calculate math and handle cash.
References and a background check will be required. Please submit a resume detailing your work experience, especially detailing your hotel front desk experience (where you worked and when.) Work can begin immediately.
