Job Description
The Restaurant at the Embers Hotelis seeking a professional, fast-paced Dishwasher, an integral part of our Culinary Team. The right individual has the desire to expand their culinary skills embracing Prep Cook duties, learning from our passionate cooks, and assisting our chefs in creating memorable dishes. Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen is our first priority.
Tucked in the quaint mountain town of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, The Embers Hotel offers 36 guest rooms and suites with full-service restaurant and al fresco dining patio. Managed by Hay Creek Hotels, this boutique location embodies a fireside retreat with 4-star service in an approachable, natural setting.
Full-time and part-time positions available for both AM and PM shifts on weekdays and weekends.
$16 per hour

Job Summary
- Sorts, washes, and puts away all dishes, pots, pans, trays, silver, and utensils. Utilizes an automatic dishwasher and / or a 3-compartment sink as necessary.
- Stocks, stores, and keeps assigned areas organized according to established procedures. Stocks purchase order items as they arrive.
- Keeps dish room, walk-in refrigerator/freezer, glassware, flatware and porcelain storage areas, and food storage areas neat, clean, and organized.
- Assists with food preparation as directed when other duties do not require attention.
- Follows all health and safety practices and procedures as outlined by the company.
- Empties garbage cans, sweeps and mops, and performs other closing duties.

Required Experience
- 16 years old.
- Previous Culinary experience a plus.
- Must continuously demonstrate a positive, upbeat and customer-focused attitude.
- Interest in growth within the Culinary department a plus.
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and other high volume days and times (i.e. town festivals).
Salary : $16
