Idaho’s largest and fastest growing distributor, Hayden Beverage Company is accepting applications for a Vice-President of Non-Alcoholic Brands . We are looking for someone who excels at building relationships with and acquisitions of new brands.
Key responsibilities include :
1. Develop relationships with and acquisition of new suppliers for Hayden Beverage Company (HBC).
2. Development and maintenance of relationships with current suppliers.
3. Work with Key account team to grow chain business.
4. Manage product mix within the category to sustain projected growth and solid financial contribution to the overall distribution business.
General Statement of Duties :
- This position has direct P&L management, so a sound understanding of the metrics used to manage a business from an accounting perspective are critical.
- This position will be based out of the Boise location.
- Understand Non-Alcoholic Brand priorities and incorporate into Hayden Beverage execution strategies and culture.
- Negotiate supplier contracts.
- Lead the development and execution of sales strategies, plans, and incentives for the brands to maximize short- and medium-term volume and profit flow and increase the long-term value of the brands.
- Oversee the annual business plan and presentation to the C-Team on an annual basis. This acts as a roadmap to key initiatives and tactics moving into the new year.
- Accountable for delivering GP and Brand Contribution goals, managing the set up and day-to-day execution of brand plans, recommending and implementing corrective / adjustment actions up / downside to optimize effectiveness and ensure achievement of targets.
- Nurture an effective working relationship with other Brand Managers, Key Account Chain Account Team, Operations Team, Retail Execution Team (GM’s), and Warehousing Team.
- Lead, motivate and develop capabilities of the Sales Team.
- Negotiate as self or through brand team Event sponsorships in conjunction with brands and company ROI standards.
- Become the HBC in-house “Expert” on the organization’s Non-Alcoholic Brand business.
- Strategic Thinking / Planning (40%) Develop an annual 1 to 5-year portfolio strategy for the company. Develop and communicate the Annual Brands Plan. Communicate and drive sales goals across all HBC sales teams. Manage brand as a business in terms of drivers, opportunities, and return. Align strategy with all key stakeholders, including suppliers. Evaluate category insights which identify trends, leading to new strategies. Develop and maintain competitor intelligence. Work with Suppliers on new product development, pricing strategy, forecasting, and various support tools needed to achieve strategic objectives Work with the Pricing team and Key account team to maintain Chain pricing and Margin integrity Work with the pricing team and Key account team on the NA Agreement top tier independent accounts Execution of medium and long-term new business strategy as well as specific retained account plans.
- Deliver Results (40%) Anticipate situations and develop approaches that maximize the business opportunities. Integrate all sales efforts (advertising, promotions, events, marketing assets…) within consistent overall brands plan. Tracks and analyzes brands performance and initiatives.
- System Alignment (20%) Build Supplier commitments to the annual sales plan covering consumer and operational objectives. Build HBC commitment and integration of inventory and sales plan alignment. Develop and manage new item introduction and transitions. Work in each of the HBC warehouse markets at least once per year.
- 110k - $150k / includes base commission, and company car provided
