What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Technologist/O.R. Tech - Full Time 28-32hrs position at Hayes Valley Surgery Center?
We are a modern, state of the art outpatient surgery center located in the heart of San Francisco. We are in search of a full-time Surgical/Operating Room (OR) Technician to join our full-time team. We also have part-time and per-diem positions available.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities relative to assisting physicians with the instrumentation of surgical intervention
- Monitors par levels of all surgical instruments and supplies
- Responsible for cleaning and sterilizing all surgical instruments
- Works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of instruments and surgical techniques (i.e. instruments and needle counts, isolation techniques, terminal cleaning of surgical instruments and rooms, etc.)
- Demonstrates knowledge of specific technique surgical skills
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the ASC
- Must demonstrate the knowledge of the principle growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirement relative to their age specific needs
- Provides care needed as described in the ASC's policies and procedures
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of approved Operating Room Technical School with certification
- At least one-year of experience in surgery
Required Licensure and Certification:
- Operating Room/Surgical Technician Certification
- Current BLS Certification
Compensation:
- Salary to commensurate with experience
