We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate departments.
- Schedule patient appointments using medical scheduling software.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation review.
- Process medical collections and handle billing inquiries.
- Utilize Epic software for patient management and data entry.
- Perform 10 key typing for data input and file management.
- Assist with the review of ICD-10 codes for accuracy in patient records.
- Provide support to medical staff as needed, ensuring efficient communication.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of ICD-10 coding.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Epic software is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong typing skills, particularly 10 key typing, are essential.
