In this role, you will oversee crops, hay, and soil health. The Land Manager will assist in implementing agricultural practices that promote biodiversity, environmental stewardship, and thoughtful land use.
Responsibilities & Duties:

In this role, you will oversee crops, hay, and soil health. The Land Manager will assist in implementing agricultural practices that promote biodiversity, environmental stewardship, and thoughtful land use.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Biodiversity: Assist in implementing wildlife-friendly farming practices, such as buffer zones and pollinator friendly plantings.
- Crop yields: Support integrated pest management efforts by monitoring pest populations and implementing control measures.
- Soil conservation: Assist with soil conservation activities including planting, mowing, field disking, crop spraying, cover cropping, erosion control, and soil health assessments.
- Community engagement: Participate in educational programs and outreach events, at times, to promote sustainable agriculture.
- Collaborative work and support: Collaborate with the farm team to achieve overall sustainability goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in agriculture, environmental science, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Willingness to learn and work in an agricultural setting is essential with a basic knowledge of farming practices and a passion for sustainable agriculture and wildlife conservation.
- Knowledge of agricultural practices, including hay, crop production, timbering, soil management, and pest control.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques in sustainable agriculture.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
