About the Role :
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of eCommerce to lead, manage, and optimize our Episerver / Optimizely CMS & Commerce platform. This role combines strategic vision, technical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver an exceptional online customer experience. The Director will work closely with IT and Marketing teams to drive eCommerce solutions, resolve technical challenges, and align platform capabilities with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Episerver / Optimizely CMS & Commerce platform, driving its strategy and execution.
- Partner with IT and Marketing to ensure seamless platform integration and alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate platform feasibility for diverse requirements.
- Develop and implement front-end and back-end solutions using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and backend technologies like Java, Ruby, Node, PHP, or C#.
- Optimize platform performance for scalable web and mobile applications.
- Design web applications that enhance customer engagement and team productivity.
- Provide cross-functional training and act as a bridge between IT and Marketing teams.
- Analyze eCommerce metrics such as GMROI, margin, and sales to drive data-informed decisions.
- Deliver impactful presentations and platform demonstrations to diverse audiences.
- Act as a consultant to internal teams, clients, and partners, ensuring continuous learning and innovation.
- Uphold a culture of respect, adaptability, and strong work ethics, while being flexible with schedules as needed.
- Monitor eCommerce platform P&L to align with revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
- Regularly update Executive Leadership on platform performance and progress.
