Position Overview:
Hays Electrical Services is seeking a Bilingual Electrical Construction Recruiter to join our corporate team
in Humble, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting entry-level electricians, apprentices,
licensed journeymen, foremen, and superintendent-level professionals for our Electrical Construction
and Services Divisions.
This position requires a deep understanding of the electrical construction industry, strong connections
within the trade, and the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with business leaders.
You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring we attract the best talent to meet our growing
workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the end-to-end hiring process for roles ranging from entry-level electricians and apprentices to
foremen and superintendent-level positions.
• Develop innovative sourcing strategies to identify active and passive candidates through trade
networks, job boards, career fairs, social media, and talent databases.
• Conduct in-depth interviews to assess qualifications, skills, and cultural fit for the company’s work
environment.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to negotiate and extend offers, ensuring alignment with company
policies and candidate expectations.
• Work closely with hiring managers, field supervisors, and regional leadership to understand immediate
and future workforce needs.
• Build strong partnerships with trade schools, community organizations, and apprenticeship programs
to create a consistent pipeline of talent.
• Establish and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified electricians, apprentices, and field-level
supervisors through networking and proactive outreach.
• Represent Hays Electrical Services at career fairs, trade expos, and other industry events to promote
the company as an employer of choice.
• Stay updated on labor market trends, wage rates, and competitor hiring practices to maintain a
competitive edge.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within the electrical construction
or skilled trades industry.
• Familiarity with trade roles, including electricians, apprentices, licensed journeymen, foremen, and
superintendents.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse candidate pool.
• Proven ability to source candidates through trade networks, apprenticeship programs, and industry
partnerships.
• Proficient in applicant tracking systems (ATS), social media recruiting tools, and talent databases.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with
candidates and leadership.
• Analytical mindset with experience using recruitment metrics to inform decisions.
• Willingness to travel locally for recruitment events, career fairs, and networking opportunities.
