Our client is seeking a Enterprise Data Manager in Raleigh, NC.
Role Description
Leadership & Oversight:
o Oversee and guide the work of the Data Analyst and Senior Data Analyst.
o Lead the implementation of the data roadmap for the organization.
o Drive the adoption of a new data platform across departments.
o Coordinate and support departmental business intelligence (BI) activities.
Data Governance:
o Establish and enforce organization-wide data governance policies.
o Implement and manage a comprehensive data catalog.
o Develop and maintain data quality standards and practices.
o Monitor and report on the progress of data initiatives.
o Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
Collaboration & Culture:
o Foster a data-driven culture within the organization.
o Collaborate with Business Relationship Partners to identify data needs and solutions.
o Provide/coordinate training and support for data-related tools and processes.
o Facilitate a data community of practice for the organization.
o Promote the use of data analytics to drive decision-making.
o Grow data visualization and dashboard development across the organization.
Innovation & Integration:
o Evaluate and integrate new data technologies and methodologies.
o Enhance the organization's data maturity.
o Find and encourage opportunities to leverage publicly accessible open data.
Technical Tasks:
o Data Engineering: Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions to ensure efficient and accurate data flow.
o Data Science: Conduct advanced data analysis, build predictive models, and apply machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from data.
o Report Development: Design and develop comprehensive reports and dashboards that effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Background in data engineering, data science, and BI report development, with proven experience in leading data initiatives.
Proven experience in data governance, data management, and business intelligence.
Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing a team.
In-depth knowledge of data privacy and security regulations.
Proficiency in data visualization tools and platforms (ideally Power BI).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to drive organizational change and foster a data-driven culture.
Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing data initiatives.
