What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Administrative Assistant - Law Enforcement Programs position at Haywood Community College?

Primary Purpose of Position

Serve as Administrative Assistant for Law Enforcement Training Programs.


Essential Job Duties

  • Provide information to general public, staff, and students
  • Work with computer programs and software
  • Perform data entry within the College Database and ACADIS for classes and student enrollment
  • Create instructor evaluation records.
  • Assist staff, instructors and students with records, paperwork, equipment, and other projects when needed
  • Maintain student certification records, pre-registration records, and all other records as directed by the Coordinator of Law Enforcement Programs
  • Provide tests and lab exercises for classes that require them, (proctor test as needed) and make certificates for completed classes
  • Maintain all online course records for Law Enforcement
  • Responds to scheduled and unscheduled audits and inspections by state agencies.
  • Assists with setting up computer-based exams.

Qualifications

Required
  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of administrative experience

Preferred
  • Associate Degree
  • 2 years of administrative experience in Public Services or government.
