Job Overview
We are seeking an entry level Junior Implementation Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will assist implementation project managers in the successful delivery of client implementation projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within the defined scope and budget. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to help configure specific areas within the Hazeltree application as required throughout the project. Your responsibilities will include participating in client discovery sessions, understanding and translating client requirements, attending status update meetings, coordinating internal teams on specific deliverables, and helping to resolve any product gaps or enhancement requests related to your projects. You will collaborate closely with the Client Success Managers, data connectivity and data services teams, as well as the support team. Once comfortable, you will be given subsets of larger projects, or smaller projects in their entirety, to lead as primary implementation project manager. Role is in office in New York City. The salary range for this role is 60-70K base plus bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Serve as supporting point of contact for clients, assisting an implementation project manager, with onboarding and implementation processes.
- Assist with updating and maintaining detailed project plans and coordination of partner meetings, client training, and in-person engagements.
- Utilize strong project management capabilities to coordinate aspects of the onboarding process, including data ingestion setup, workflow configuration, and ongoing support.
- Participate in client-facing meetings and communications across various organizational levels, including executives, project leads, and operational teams.
Subject Matter Expertise:
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing technical and operational guidance to clients to maximize the impact of our products on their business.
- Demonstrate understanding of financial instruments (specifically cash and cash equivalents) and operational processes related to cash/treasury management and be familiar with financial workflows related to treasury management.
- Understanding of financial institutions and account types/structures (banks, prime brokers, custodians, ISDA counterparties, credit facilities, etc.); ability to oversee data connectivity requirements and work with data connectivity team to source client data.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with Product Development, Engineering, and other internal teams to enhance product functionality for client onboarding and growth.
On-site support:
Flexibility to travel, as needed, to support clients across different regions.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, technology, or related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
- 0-3 years of experience in a client-facing role within the tech industry, with a focus on project management and consulting.
- Experience developing cross-team processes and documentation with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working with hedge funds and private equity firms is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
- Technical proficiency to quickly grasp new concepts, build product knowledge, and translate requirements for product development.
- Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities, capable of prioritizing competing projects and timelines effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and client-facing interactions, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address flawed processes and implement scalable solutions.
