POSITION TITLE: Central Office Registrar
REPORTS TO: Director of Enrollment
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs various duties associated with assisting school with maintaining compliance of accurate student enrollment and withdrawal records; utilizing and understanding data for their buildings; and providing onboarding as well as on-going training around these functions.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions
- Execute proficient use of Infinite Campus and system functionality (primarily relative to enrollment withdrawal procedures)
- Understand the relationship between enrollment/withdrawal compliance and state/federal requirements
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
- Implement exemplary organization and planning skills
- Work closely with Director of Enrollment and the Coordinator of Professional Development in coordinating, developing, and participating in ongoing training
- Ensure that new employees receive onboarding training
- Maintain accurate record of student enrollment and withdrawal compliance (district-wide)
- Work closely with Director of Enrollment to gauge the accuracy and efficacy of enrollment process implementation (district-wide)
- Collaborate with school personnel to disseminate appropriate information relevant to student data (i.e., residency non-compliance, DESE error follow-up, etc.)
- Assist the Office of Residency with Special Circumstance enrollments
- Assist parents and students with enrollment inquiries
- Serve as a resource to school staff with questions about enrollment and withdrawals
- Complete other marginal duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge: Knowledge of stenography, administrative secretarial practices, operation of office equipment (such as a personal computer and related highly specialized software. Equivalent to high school diploma plus additional training.
Experience: At least three years’ experience in a relevant work setting or related role (i.e., school, enrollment department)

- Possess positive and effective communication skills, written and verbal. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations. Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Perform the basic functions of arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Compute ratio, rate and percent. Draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Perform reading, writing and speaking at an intermediate level.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents in the facilitation of their wellbeing.

- Nominal physical effort required ranging from moving very light (1 to 5 lbs.) items by hand to rarely moving light to average (5 to 60 lbs.) boxes of paper and other supplies with assistance.
