We are seeking a dedicated Shift Manager for Electrical Maintenance in our Iron Producing Division. This pivotal role involves overseeing electrical maintenance operations, supervising a skilled team, and ensuring the effective execution of daily tasks and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the hourly electrical workforce to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.
- Plan and organize daily maintenance activities utilizing tab ware for optimal workflow.
- Review and recommend necessary training and tools to enhance team capabilities.
- Manage and coordinate various projects within the electrical maintenance domain.
- Propose purchases of essential equipment, services, and supplies to support operations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of control systems and models.
- Back up the Process Automation Engineer and oversee complex computer control and application systems.
- Develop and maintain process information systems, ensuring operational excellence.
- Supervise contractors while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Be available for on-call support and occasional domestic or international travel as required.
- Proficient working knowledge of Level 1 Process Automation.
- Experience in PLC and HMI/MMI programming.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of Instrumentation/Systems.
- Strong computer networking skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or 5 years of equivalent relevant experience.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical maintenance or automation fields is required.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience in steel mill operations, as well as familiarity with Modicon PLCs and RSView SE HMI.
