Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement engineering projects that optimize production processes.
- Provide engineering support for plant modifications, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance.
- Design, plan, and oversee the layout and installation of facility and manufacturing equipment.
- Manage project costs against budget and ensure efficient operation of equipment.
- Conduct capability studies on processes or equipment, recommending improvements as necessary.
- Identify technical challenges and devise practical solutions suitable for project complexity.
- Support instrumentation and controls troubleshooting and project development efforts.
- Communicate project updates, costs, and recommendations formally to the management team.
- Provide support for production requirements in our 24⁄7 operational environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, HMIs, and SCADA systems is essential.
- Experience in the metals industry is preferred.
- Strong project management capabilities with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is advantageous.
- A recognized degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated project management expertise in an industrial context.
