Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the design, planning, layout, and installation of manufacturing and facility equipment.
- Oversee project management responsibilities, including generating solution concepts, justifying project costs, and assessing contract bids.
- Collaborate with management to ensure optimal equipment operation and identify opportunities for preventative maintenance.
- Conduct capability studies on processes or equipment and propose enhancements for approval.
- Address technical challenges by identifying and implementing practical solutions aligned with project complexity.
- Support troubleshooting, repair, and development of instrumentation and controls.
- Deliver engineering solutions to management to ensure comprehensive process capability and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate project details, costs, and recommendations effectively to the management team.
- Provide support to production operations, as the plant operates continuously.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with PLC programming, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Experience within the metals industry is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong project management skills in an industrial environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, team-building, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as an engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of effectively managing complex projects in an industrial setting.
