Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing logistics processes, ensuring efficient warehouse management, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role requires a strategic thinker with a solid understanding of inventory management and demand planning to drive operational excellence.
Duties
- Manage and coordinate all logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Oversee warehouse operations to ensure optimal storage, organization, and distribution of products.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within the supply chain and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate contracts and maintain positive relationships for seamless operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in logistics operations.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Manage and streamline logistics between our factories in China, New York, and overseas, warehouses in Las Vegas and NY, and customer warehouses nationwide.
- Import/Export Expertise: Oversee all aspects of import/export logistics, including compliance with customs regulations, duty, and tariff management.
- Shipment Planning: Calculate shipment volumes, manage container optimization, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Freight Management: Quote and arrange domestic freight to customer warehouses, monitor delivery schedules, and resolve freight claims as needed.
- Customer Support: Communicate with customers regarding shipment statuses, delays, and provide solutions to logistics-related issues.
- Reporting: Track and report on shipping costs, freight trends, and inventory flow to maintain operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in import/export logistics, preferably within the hospitality industry or related supply chain fields.
- Strong knowledge of duty and tariff regulations, including calculations and reporting.
- Proven ability to quote and arrange domestic freight services.
- Familiarity with handling freight claims and customer inquiries.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience in logistics management or a related field.
- Proficient in inventory management techniques
- Strong vendor management skills with a focus on building long-term partnerships.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
