What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Showroom Manager position at HB Workplaces?
SUMMARY
As assistant showroom manager, you will be performing various tasks and executing process to facilitate end users making selections for the flooring related finishes in a given project as well as providing direction and support to the showroom manager in all necessary projects and objectives as well as helping manage showroom department staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists end users in making flooring related selections for their project.
- Communicates selections to Project Management through documentation and paperwork.
- Issue, track, and respond to RFI’s in an efficient and timely manner.
- Reports or requests changes from original selections to Project Management.
- Responsible for assisting in management of general showroom maintenance including tidying and organizing the showroom space as well as the sampling spaces and any other workspace as needed.
- Assists with management of showroom daily processes including putting away samples after customer appointments and pulling samples for upcoming appointments.
- Assists in cutting, labeling, and arranging new samples for the showroom space.
- Responsible for assisting in management of ordering, packaging, and shipping samples for customers or end users.
- Assist in managing the process and employees responsible to welcome any guests by assisting them in a professional way. Hangs up coats, offers beverages, and direct guests to appropriate personnel as needed or in absence of desk personnel.
- Responsible to assist in personnel development and training as required by Showroom Manager.

EDUCATION and /or EXPERIENCE
- 2 years administrative or design related education or equivalent job experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years in selections coordinator position
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
