Senior Power BI Consultant
- Key Responsibilities :
- Ability to gather business requirements from clients and turn them into actionable projects; designing and leading projects and client communications from start to finish.
- Design and create interactive and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, and Power BI Report Builder.
- Connect and integrate data from various sources, such as databases, spreadsheets, cloud services, and API's.
- Clean, and transform data through SQL, DAX, and M queries as well as the Query Editor to ensure data is suitable for reporting and analysis.
- Design complex data models to show hidden relationships in disparate data sources.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Optimize Power BI reports and queries for performance and responsiveness.
- Implement security measures such as Row Level Security to ensure data confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Create and maintain documentation for data models, report specifications, and best practices.
- Provide training and support to end-users to enable them to effectively use Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Lead and train junior developers.
- Should also have a general understanding of other Power Platform applications and how they can be used in conjunction with Power BI to capture and disseminate data from end users.
