We are currently looking for a Cable Assembler to join our production team at our Dytran facility in Chatsworth, CA. We are looking for an experienced assembler to join our team in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
The Cable Assembler is responsible for assembling complex cables in accordance with drawings, travelers, and manufacturing procedures.
Your day-to-day work may include, but is not limited to :
Performs complex assembly duties in accordance with drawings, travelers, and manufacturing procedures.
Operates shop hand tools, microscope, solder irons, and ultra-sonic cleaner.
Uses spooling equipment to measure and cut wire.
Uses test meters to check quality of the assembled cables and connectors.
Operates label machines in accordance with operator’s manual.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Assists other assemblers as needed, in order to meet shipping demands.
Assembles miniature cables, using standard connectors such as 10-32, BNC & TNC, MIL-STD Connectors.
Trouble-shoots cable assemblies.
Flexible and capable of processing more complex cable assemblies with minimal supervision.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Professional Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in electromechanical assembly.
Must be to read and understand assembly drawings.
Advanced schematic reading and ability to trouble shoot cable assemblies.
Advanced reading, writing and shop math skills.
Experience soldering miniature parts under a microscope.
Use of simple hand tools such as crimpers and ovens.
IPC-A-620 certification.
Personal Skills
Excellent communication skills
Good planning skills and ability to multitask effectively
Good hand and eye dexterity.
Good communication skills.

Compensation
20.00 - $23.00 per hour
