Summary :

Asset Management Group Trading Manager performs the trading and rebalancing function for all HBKS clients who are invested in the HBKS models. In this capacity, the Trading Manager will utilize the Orion Eclipse Trading Platform software. The Trading Manager must be detail-oriented with the ability to work under tight time constraints. In addition, the Trading Manager must be able to effectively communicate and coordinate the trading needed for HBKS clients of multiple client service teams in a genial manner. The Trading Manager works under the direction of the Chief Investment Officer, Chief Operating Officer and our Managing Principals.

This job description is subject to revision by management when client service needs change.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field of study
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Orion Eclipse Trading Platform or similar trading software experience desirable

Essential Functions :

  • Support the decisions made by the Investment Policy Committee and Principals of the Firm.
  • Primary responsibility for managing the trading and rebalancing function for the HBKS models.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with all the Firm's Advisors and co-workers.
  • Attend as a non-voting member of the Firm's Investment Policy Committee (IPC).
  • Take day-to-day direction from the firm's Chief Investment Officer
  • Ability to ensure coverage of other duties of the Asset Management Group, including trading of funds not on the rebalancing system and completing investment management proposals.
  • Serve as a resource on all investment trading issues for all Financial Advisors.
  • Displays a high degree of technical and professional competence.
  • Able to effectively utilize Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Distributes various communication and rebalancing tools to Advisors.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all clients and firm business.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to the firm.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Follow firm procedures and comply with policies as outlined in the Human Resource Manual.
  • Act with integrity, competence, diligence, respect, and in an ethical manner with the public, clients, prospective clients, HBKS and HBKS team members.
  • Place the interests of clients above their own personal interests.
  • Exercise independent professional judgement when making recommendations.
  • Act in a professional and ethical manner that will reflect credit on themselves and HBKS.
