Why we open this position?
This is primarily and event time role ensure the smooth running of pre-event setup, testing, and real-time support during the event for the ENG workflows that are critical to the delivery of content for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. It involves:
- Pre-event Setup & Testing: Ensuring the ENG platform and workflows are thoroughly tested and operational in various Host City locations before the event.
- Event Time Support: Assisting with troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues during the event to ensure the ENG systems deliver high-quality, timely media content.
- Post-event Reporting & Improvement: Providing feedback and suggesting improvements to the technical processes based on event experience.
The person in this role will work closely with various teams, including the ENG Workflow Manager, HBS technical teams, and vendors, to ensure reliable content delivery throughout the event. It's essential for someone who has a solid technical background and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth operations.
🤝 Your responsibilities
Event Setup Period:
- Testing the ENG Workflow: Ensuring the ENG workflow works flawlessly at designated Inject Point locations, confirming that all systems are ready for production operations.
- Troubleshooting with Telco Teams: Working closely with the Telco manager and engineers to address any issues with inject point lines, ensuring smooth connections and data transmission.
- Deploying Monitoring Solutions: Implementing tools to monitor the ENG system and workflow in real-time during the event, allowing HBS to track system performance.
Event Time Support:
- Support ENG Systems: Ensuring that the ENG systems are delivering content reliably during the event, which is crucial for smooth production.
- Critical Issue Resolution: Working with the ENG Workflow Manager to address and resolve any issues that could disrupt production workflows, ensuring the event runs smoothly.
- Onsite Support: If issues arise with the inject points during the event, you may need to provide immediate support onsite to ensure the systems are restored quickly.
Post Event:
- Reporting & Feedback: After the event, you'll help HBS by providing feedback on how the event went, documenting any issues, and suggesting improvements for future technical deliveries.
Is This Role Right for You?
Technical Skills:
- File-based Media Workflow: Previous experience with managing media workflows, especially in live events, would be highly valuable.
- Networking & File Transfer Solutions: Understanding of networking principles, as well as specific file transfer tools like Aspera, Signiant, FileCatalyst, and others, would be a big plus.
- Hands-on Technical Troubleshooting: The role requires someone who is comfortable testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring systems work without disruption, particularly in a live event environment.
Specific Technical Knowledge:
- Video Transport & Networking: You need to have knowledge of video transport solutions, and experience with file acceleration tools will make you more competitive for the role.
- PC & Mac-based Tools: The ability to use different systems (both PC and Mac) with networking tools in a production environment is crucial.
Soft Skills:
