Project Superintendent Responsibilities / Requirements:
- Perform all duties necessary, in the role as a Superintendent, to uphold the identity and dignity of HC Company, our clients, subcontractors and associates in the industry.
- Participate and collaborate with all aspects of HC Company from estimating, pre-construction and business development, as requested, to use your background and history to provide new insights, understanding and design future opportunities to aid in the growth of HC Company and to best take advantage of your abilities.
- Exercise superior knowledge of the plans, specifications, and systems to coordinate and align actions in achieving the overall goals on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Allow for no less than the best quality from those around you and hold them accountable. Provide meticulous QA/QC, verification of all installations and materials that they meet the intentions of the details and specifications to provide superior value to our clients.
- Develop and utilize all aspects of the scheduling software, as many ways as needed, to communicate with all parties involved the alignments and coordination of actions in sufficient detail necessary to achieve and exceed the expectations of the project. Create, modify, and distribute updated schedules no less than once per week.
- Own the jobsite through overall layout planning, coordination of staging and phasing, organization, execution and recording of pre-installation meetings with applicable parties, continuous scheduling and field supervision for subcontractors and minimum of weekly on-site all-hands coordination meetings.
- Be proactive in implementing safety forecasts, reviews, and pre-planning. Provide site specific safety training on a regularly scheduled weekly basis.
- Perform daily and weekly site safety audits to assure and record all relevant threats and opportunities to assure a safe work environment.
- Document and record safety violations and track repeat offenders with the safety officer to hold all subcontractors accountable to maintaining safety as a top priority across all our projects.
- Oversee, coordinate, and inspect layouts, system integration, commissioning and verification of shop drawings and installations.
- Assume the responsibility for coordination material deliveries and Owner supplied equipment/materials to assure products arrive on site in sufficient quantity and without damage. Document and record any shortages, potential damages immediately to avoid claims delays or delays to the project.
- Continually and proactively plan work sufficiently in advance to initiate project RFI’s and PCO’s to assure a smooth flow of work and avoid delays to the schedule and sequence of work.
- Track T&M PCO’s for HC Employees as self-performed work to be reimbursed through change orders to assist in capturing all costs associated with a change for minimal profit loss.
- Oversee, coordinate, participate in inspect systems start up verification. Track paperwork and personally confirm all systems are installed per plans and specs and meet all final intentions of the client to perform their intended processes.
- Confirm project as-built drawings are being updated at a minimum of weekly and are accurate prior to billing each month. Provide a report to the Project Manager of anyone who has not completed As-Builts each month to withhold payment from that subcontractor for the period until as-builts are completed.
- Actively participate on the Safety Committee to produce new items as necessary, revise existing items as they become outdated and add new safety processes and procedures to assure we are maintaining our reputation in the industry as one of the safest companies to work for in Idaho.

- Proficiency in MS Office

- Thorough knowledge of trade layout and installation methods
- Thorough knowledge of ADA accessibility requirements
- Thorough knowledge of jurisdictional requirements that leads to a successful completion of a project
- Communication skills, both verbal and written
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Construction Management
- 8 or more years of experience as a project superintendent or similar position
- Outgoing self-starter that has the ability to work well in a team framework
