The Sr Electrical Engineer will collaborate will with staff to create accurate technical drawings and contribute to the overall design process for our MEP Engineering firm which focuses on the design of systems for various industries industries.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage electrical portions of projects effectively, delegating tasks, providing feedback and support, and ensuring project successPerforms calculations and designs engineering systems with a high degree of independencePrepares basic to advanced electrical system layouts, detailed drawings and schematicsCoordinate design requirements and decisions with other disciplines, BIM department, and project managementPerforms research and makes recommendations as to the feasibility of systems or equipment. Evaluates products for their applicationAttend client meetings with project managers and senior staff, continuing to grow relationships with staff and clientsMay assist with or oversee project coordination tasks, including managing emails, coordinating scope and schedule, ensuring project quality, addressing client inquiries, and facilitating project deliveryParticipate in Premieres, project retrospectives and continuous improvement activitiesTravel as required, independently or with less senior staff for site surveys and field inspectionsServes as a point of reference for training or providing assistance to others as requiredRequirements :
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering and 8 years of relevant experienceProfessional Engineering (PE) licenseProficiency in RevitStrong understanding of local codes and amendments, with the ability to interpret and apply the codes towards system design and calculationsStrong familiarity with building structures, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and how they interactIntermediate knowledge and proficiency in engineering designEffective communication skills within cross-functional team with a focus on customer serviceAbility to mentor staffStrong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings and stay organizedAbility to work independently and balance multiple deadlines and projectsPreferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering and 15 years of relevant experienceStrong knowledge and proficiency in engineering design
