Job Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Technician prepares and administers radioactive chemical compounds, known as radiopharmaceuticals. They perform patient imaging procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation, providing images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date
- State License Nuclear Medicine required
- Vocational School Graduate required
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
