What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Coordinator / Project Coordinator position at HCI?
This entry-level position will be working in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for the management & oversight of the assigned account portfolio. This may include managing clients’ expectations and developing a trusted relationship while offering consultative and strategic insights and solutions. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert of HCI’s products, programs, and technology. An as advocate for both the customer and HCI, they will obtain feedback for the growth of the account and the platform. The account coordinator will be responsible for effectively renewing and managing the contracts of the assigned book of business.
This position requires excellent customer communications skills as the liaison between the client and the HCI team to facilitate & track the progress of client requests by collecting materials and collaborating & incorporating changes. It is also important to be organized, detailed-oriented, and be able to complete tasks within deadlines. The position is located in Ellicott City, MD (preferred) or remotely.
Qualifications / Competencies :
The successful candidate will be a very self-motivated self-starter with high attention to detail and who enjoys the challenges of learning new skills in a fast-growing, hi-tech company.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Bachelor’s degree or related work experience is required
- Must be able to effectively manage and complete multiple issues simultaneously
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates
- Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent problem solving, strong analytical skills, and a thorough knowledge of plan designs
- Experience with HRIS and benefits database systems or other relevant technical platform is preferable
- 1-2 years experience with HR benefits experience is preferable
- 1 years experience working in the US healthcare or insurance industry is preferable
- Professional IT experience is a plus but not required
- Travel to client meetings or HCI facilities may be needed on occasion
