Job Description



As a Lead Product Manager, you will be part of the AppScan Product Management team at HCL Software responsible for the innovative evolution of existing products and the launch of exciting new offerings in the application security testing and DevSecOps space.


We are seeking a highly motivated and data-driven Lead Product Manager to lead the definition, development, and go-to-market strategy for our pricing, packaging, and growth marketing initiatives while working in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.


This is a critical role that will directly impact revenue growth and customer acquisition and retention. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative pricing models, creating compelling product packages, and driving customer engagement through effective growth marketing strategies.



What you will do



  • Pricing & Packaging Strategy:
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify optimal pricing strategies.
  • Develop and refine pricing models for SaaS and on-premises offerings, ensuring

profitability and customer satisfaction.

  • Undertake detailed financial analyses to support the development and promotion of

packaging and pricing suggestions.

  • Design and launch compelling product packages that cater to various customer

segments and use cases.

  • Analyze pricing and packaging performance, track key metrics (e.g., Customer Lifetime

Value, churn rate), and identify areas for improvement, collaboratively with sales and

customer success teams.



  • Growth Marketing:
  • Develop and execute, collaboratively with marketing and engineering, innovative go-to-

market strategies for the SaaS product line.

  • Lead the content ideation and development for new and existing SaaS customers
  • Analyze campaign performance, track key metrics (e.g., conversion rates, cost per

acquisition), and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.



  • Product Management:
  • Define and prioritize product roadmap for pricing, packaging, and growth marketing

initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, sales, marketing,

customer success) to ensure successful product launches and ongoing improvements.

  • Work closely with sales to help with RFIs & RFPs for new customer opportunities.
  • Deeply engage with customers to collect first-hand customer feedback to inform

product decisions.

  • Work closely with the Customer Success and Support teams to identify and address

recurring customer issues and dissatisfaction.

  • Develop and implement strategies to proactively prevent customer dissatisfaction an

reduce support volume.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in pricing, packaging, and growth

marketing.

**In order to be a viable candidate, it is critical for you to have the following for this role: 1) You have plus years working directly for a software product company (that engineer, sells and ships it's own software products as their primary source of revenue 2) This is an Enterprise Product Manager role VS a Technical or AI or other types of Product Managers 3) Your strength must be in Pricing Strategy and launching global SaaS based products**


What we need from you (Qualifications, Functional and Technical Experience, Education)



  • Must have the work authorization status as a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder
  • Must presently reside in the Boston and surrounding area be available to go into our Chelmsford, MA Office.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time
  • 7 years of experience in product management specifically for a Software Product Company that engineers, sells, packages and ship products
  • 7 years as a Product Manager with expertise and have a strong focus on pricing, packaging, and growth marketing.
  • 7 years with a proven track record of successfully launching and scaling SaaS products, with a focus on security or DevOps products and technologies.
  • Experience with data analysis and using data to inform product decisions.
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation and targeting.
  • Comfortable working with distributed, global teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile).
  • Experience with A/B testing and other experimentation methods.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; MBA is strongly preferred

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.

Salary : $229,000 - $272,000
