Director of Operations
Employment Type:Monday-Friday, Full Time, In person.
A solar company based in NY is in search of a Director of Operations.
TheDirector of Operationswill oversee the company's day-to-day activities, ensuring the organization is managed and performs at peak efficiency. This role will direct and support multiple teams to ensure the success of the company's mission and vision.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Pipeline Management:
- Oversee all project and installation pipelines to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Monitor workflows and proactively identify bottlenecks, delays, and inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address pipeline challenges and implement solutions.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with permitting, processing, and engineering departments to streamline operations.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability among teams to achieve project goals.
- Provide leadership and direction to department managers to align with company objectives.
Operational Efficiency:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve project completion rates and installation timelines.
- Analyze data and trends to drive decision-making and process improvements.
- Establish and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with the COO and other executive team members to align operational goals with business objectives.
- Provide regular reports on pipeline performance, team productivity, and project updates.
- Act as a primary point of contact for operational issues impacting projects.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years in a senior management role within the solar industry, with a focus on project and pipeline management.
- Strong understanding of permitting, processing, and engineering workflows in the solar industry (NYC and LI experience are strongly preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve operational challenges proactively.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capability.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.
