Premier National General Contractor focused upon mission critical, industrial and cold storage builds in urban centers throughout the U.S. is seeking to add a Pre-Construction Director to their operations in Jacksonville, FL.
The valued prospect will demonstrate a minimum of 8-10 years of substantial experience contributing to projects in the data center sector or demonstrate a history of successful manufacturing and/or cold storage builds. You must be comfortable leading and navigating sizable teams of staff and sub-contractors; interfacing with stakeholders; coordinating with municipal and regulatory authorities; and building relationships with key participants.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop accurate project estimates and cost proposals.
- Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements, including site visits and evaluations.
- Prepare detailed project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain necessary information for building accurate estimates.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities for value engineering.
- Prepare comprehensive take-offs and quantity surveys.
- Present estimates and proposals to clients and negotiate contracts.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 7 Years estimating experience.
- Degree in Construction Management or equivalent
- Proficient in industry software and tools, such as Procore, PlanGrid, and Bluebeam
- Expérience in diverse, large project commercial construction
